Favourite thing about working at NSTParts:
Working with an amazing team of knowledgeable people, who are all car enthusiasts. Having access to a huge range of aftermarket parts to help people build their dream cars. It’s also very dangerous having a performance car that I want to modify.

How did you get into performance cars?
I have always been interested in cars since a young age. Started with racing car games on PlayStation 1. From there I grew a massive passion for modifying cars. After hours and on weekends, you’ll find me photographing at the race track, or performance cars for NZ Performance Car Magazine and NZV8 Magazine.

Favourite race track and why?

Hampton Downs as there are so many technical and high-speed sections. I would love to drive some tracks in the South Island.

What parts have you bought from NSTParts?
90% of the parts I have on the Trueno have been sourced through work.

Why the Toyota Trueno?
I had an AE111 with a 4A-FE engine around 18 years ago and loved the way it handled and drove. A perfect opportunity arose just over five years ago to get a very tidy example, with the legendary 4A-GE 20V Blacktop. I didn’t have a performance car at the time. Being a BZ-G, it doesn’t have the Super Strut Suspension, which was exactly what I was after as I wanted to put coilover suspension in it later with no issues. The factory quad throttle bodies was another big tick, with the MRP 95mm trumpets installed, now it has all the dorts! High-revving, great-handling, gorgeous lines and a little rocket ship – I love it!
